ERHA SPRING UPDATE

STREET SWEEPING - WEEK OF MAY 15, 2022

Please ensure all vehicles are off streets (including cul de sac) from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm. Vehicles on driveways should not overhang the sidewalk/roadway. Be a great neighbour and let all streets in the area be properly cleaned!

BIG BIN DAY - Saturday May 28 @ Henderson Park, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m

Please check in at the ERHA table on site

Now is a great time to clean out that garage, yard, basement!

Materials Accepted at No Cost

  • Couches, chairs, mattresses and other household furniture items too large for curbside pickup
  • Fridges, freezers, washers, dryers and other large household appliances (will be recycled)
  • Computers, televisions and other household electronics (will be recycled)
  • Tires and scrap metal (will be recycled)

Materials Not Accepted

  • Commercial waste
  • Household Hazardous Waste - please take to an Eco Station. They will be accepted at no cost

Reusable Items

  • Reuse items will not be accepted at Big Bin Events. Please bring reusable items to the Reuse Centre, or use the Reuse Directory to find a place for your items.

Yard Waste

Please do not bring yard waste. The 2nd Seasonal Waste pick up is Monday June 6, 2022.

Shredding

Shredding will be available. We encourage you to limit to 5 boxes so everyone will have an opportunity to access. Those with more will be asked to cycle back in line🙂

FENCE UPDATE:

Perimeter fence staining along Riverbend Road from the corner of Rabbit Hill Rd to Henderson Park will be undertaken in late May/early June. Homeowners along that fence line are asked to trim any overhanging tree branches prior to May 25.

RENOVATION REMINDERS:

Just a reminder that there are specific architectural guidelines for roofing materials, exterior finishes, etc. Please ensure that you are complying with the Architectural Guidelines and Bylaws of the Association prior to undertaking exterior changes. Contact the ERHA Board if you are unsure or require clarification or assistance. erha-web.com Dumpsters or portable storage boxes are only to be used for short-term renovations. Please let the Board know if you will have a dumpster or storage container on your property.

PARKING REMINDERS:

Recreation vehicles and commercial vehicles in excess of 3/4 ton capacity shall not be stored on any property for more than 48 hours unless in a garage.

In addition per City of Edmonton: RVs can be parked only on the roadway immediately beside the owner or operator's residence and for no more than 72 consecutive hours. After 72 hours a RV must be moved off the city street for at least 48 consecutive hours before it may be parked again on the roadway beside the owner or operator's residence.

Nuisance Vehicle (City of Edmonton)

  • Vehicles that are derelict, wrecked, dismantled are considered a nuisance not abandoned
  • Removal is the responsibility of the property owner
  • Nuisance complaints can be reported by calling 311

ANNUAL DUES:

If you have not paid your annual dues, please contact the Administrator through the website to arrange payment. Late fees are being applied. Liens can and will be applied to property if dues remain unpaid. erha-web.com

RESPECT YOUR NEIGHBOURS:

The Board frequently receives complaints regarding litter, unkempt yards, noxious weeds, etc. Contact 311 if you have concerns. City of Edmonton bylaws exist to deal with many of these issues.

Please be a good neighbour and take care of your space. It benefits all when the neighbourhood looks good!

If you see suspicious activity in the neighbourhood, please notify EPS.
